Ekaterina Shelehova was only 3 years old when her talent was discovered, booking two radio commercials and recording a collection of children’s songs.

At 10 years old, Ekaterina performed in her first opera, “Carmen”, with the children’s choir. Already set on a career in music, this performance inspired her love for opera.

During her high school years, Ekaterina studied at the Conservatory of Music in Toronto where she earned her Grade 10 Vocal Diploma and received three Gold Medals for her Vocal studies.  Shortly after, she finished her studies in Piano and received her diploma in Piano Pedagogy. 

Eager to share her own music, Ekaterina recorded her first full album at 16 years old titled “MOONLIGHT”, released under the name Katya, which can still be found on all streaming platforms online.

In 2014, Ekaterina auditioned for the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan, Italy where she has now completed her Bachelor’s and Master's Degrees in Opera with distinction.

Since then, she has appeared in a mainstream TV show in Beijing singing a Chinese folk song, performed as a guest on the show Nessun Dorma in Italy, where she shared the stage with Ted Neely (original Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar), and sang on the show I Soliti Ignoti, also a top-rated show in Italy. In February of 2021, Ekaterina performed on Italy’s Got Talent, and her unique performance went viral on the internet, with 100 million views and counting.

Ekaterina has some exciting projects coming up, including joining ERA's Live Experience Tour as a lead vocalist in February of 2024.
