NATHAN FERRARO, MIKE WISE AND COALITION MUSIC LAUNCH CHROMATICA RECORDS
GRAMMY and JUNO Award nominee songwriters Nate Ferraro and Mike Wise, in partnership with Coalition Music, launch Chromatica Records. The Toronto based, globally minded label, Chromatica celebrates its launch with the release of Ethan Young’s debut single, “Boring”. Young is an emerging artist making bold, emotionally charged hyperpop. Blending glossy production, catchy melodies, and raw, conversational songwriting, Ethan’s music explores partying, relationships, self-discovery, and the messiness that comes with growing up.

Chromatica Records is a natural progression for Nate Ferraro and Mike Wise. The two met back in the early ‘00s when they were in the Toronto based Alt-Rock band, The Midway State. Growing through the band process, each found their way to the other side of the microphone, as chart topping songwriters. Ferraro is a writer / producer whose credits include Beyoncé’s Grammy-nominated monster hit “Texas Hold ‘Em” as well as songs for Lady Gaga, Charli XCX and Bülow. Wise is a producer, songwriter whose credits include songs for Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Ellie Goulding and Alessia Cara. Between them they have earned GRAMMY and JUNO Award nominations, a dozen SOCAN awards and been in the rooms of the world’s best writers, producers and artists. It’s been a natural evolution from artist to writer to producer and now record label.
Ferraro has a long history with Ethan Young, and it was through this relationship that he realized how important yet overwhelmingly neglected artist development is in the music industry. This kickstarted conversations with Mike Wise which led them to connecting, and then partnering with Coalition Music’s Cole Lanni and Mat Fruitman.
